CRETE, BALOS, GRAMVOUSA & SANTORINI

Kalimera!

Before I'm going on a next trip I obviously had to write some about my last trip.
Because it was quite long time ago when I was searching through photos I felt like I'm discovering it all again. One thing I can say right now about it is I NEVER though that Greece or even Europe has so much outstanding, beautiful, wild and just amazing, really amazing places. I don't thing that much people knows it to be honest.
Greece has recently became a super popular celebrity spot and I'm going to show you why.

Despite the fact that the Land of Olives is one of the safest European holiday destination it absolutely has so much to show and so much that haven't been discover yet. From over 2000 islands belongs to Greek territory people live only in 165.

Where three continents meet there is an island...
... an island I feel in love with.

Speaking of Crete of course. The biggest island in Greece place between Europe, Asia and Africa is not only popular because of it's natural beauty but because of strong history and the evolution of Minoan culture - the oldest one in Europe. You may know the king Minos of Knossos I had a pleasure to see the reconstruction of his palace last time I went to Crete and you can see it HERE. I found it so interesting and positively shocking that people thousands years Before Christ could have had such developed life. Anyways my trip this year wasn't that much into history but much more into nature and I was experiencing a lot visual feelings every day, I was happy for every little Cretan stone (I was going to say grass blade, but there was no grass) because it was so precious.

Let's swim a little bit farther from Crete.

Gramvousa Island

In more then 40 degrees we climbed hundreds of steps to not only see the remains of Venetian Fort but to see one of the most beautiful view of south Europe (if not the most) :)

The view of me:

Nah, just joking :)

Stunning!
Hold on! It is not over for today.
Between the island and the cost of Crete there is a lagoon.
Balos lagoon:

It doesn't even look real!

That's me enjoying it!

Another place in Greece that's very famous and everyone has heard about is Santorini Island.

Do you recognize it already?

A small island which is known for being the most beautiful island in the world generally because of white houses all over the cliff. When it comes to me, nature is usually on the first place so I liked the deep blue sea surrounding volcanic island more than anything else.

The volcano that is still active you (can see it in the background) tho <3
What's interesting there is a man living down there only by himself.

Not this one, this man just jumped in when I was posing :)

Some people say that Santorini might me the mythological Atlantis mentioned in Plato's works.

What do you think about it? I personally consider that to be true, it's good sometimes to belive in something which seems to be so misterious to be impossible.

Despite my paradise trips I was spending time visiting nearby cities, meeting local culture and walking the Imbros Gorge.

Summarizing, I had an awesome trip with great people I didn't know before thanks to my job Travelplanet which sent me on it. Thank you!

Let the (naked) Zeus be with you!

I hope you liked my post :)
In couple of days I'm going to the place I really wanted to go for a long time so stay tuned cos there's gone be much more!
