CRETE, BALOS, GRAMVOUSA & SANTORINI

Kalimera!

Before I'm going on a next trip I obviously had to write some about my last trip.
Because it was quite long time ago when I was searching through photos I felt like I'm discovering it all again. One thing I can say right now about it is I NEVER though that Greece or even Europe has so much outstanding, beautiful, wild and just amazing, really amazing places. I don't thing that much people knows it to be honest.
Greece has recently became a super popular celebrity spot and I'm going to show you why.

Despite the fact that the Land of Olives is one of the safest European holiday destination it absolutely has so much to show and so much that haven't been discover yet. From over 2000 islands belongs to Greek territory people live only in 165.

Where three continents meet there is an island...
... an island I feel in love with.

Speaking of Crete of course. The biggest island in Greece place between Europe, Asia and Africa is not only popular because of it's natural beauty but because of strong history and the evolution of Minoan culture - the oldest one in Europe. You may know the king Minos of Knossos I had a pleasure to see the reconstruction of his palace last time I went to Crete and you can see it HERE. I found it so interesting and positively shocking that people thousands years Before Christ could have had such developed life. Anyways my trip this year wasn't that much into history but much more into nature and I was experiencing a lot visual feelings every day, I was happy for every little Cretan stone (I was going to say grass blade, but there was no grass) because it was so precious.

Let's swim a little bit farther from Crete.

Gramvousa Island

In more then 40 degrees we climbed hundreds of steps to not only see the remains of Venetian Fort but to see one of the most beautiful view of south Europe (if not the most) :)

The view of me:

Nah, just joking :)

Stunning!
Hold on! It is not over for today.
Between the island and the cost of Crete there is a lagoon.
Balos lagoon:

It doesn't even look real!

That's me enjoying it!

Another place in Greece that's very famous and everyone has heard about is Santorini Island.

Do you recognize it already?

A small island which is known for being the most beautiful island in the world generally because of white houses all over the cliff. When it comes to me, nature is usually on the first place so I liked the deep blue sea surrounding volcanic island more than anything else.

The volcano that is still active you (can see it in the background) tho <3
What's interesting there is a man living down there only by himself.

Not this one, this man just jumped in when I was posing :)

Some people say that Santorini might me the mythological Atlantis mentioned in Plato's works.

What do you think about it? I personally consider that to be true, it's good sometimes to belive in something which seems to be so misterious to be impossible.

Despite my paradise trips I was spending time visiting nearby cities, meeting local culture and walking the Imbros Gorge.

Summarizing, I had an awesome trip with great people I didn't know before thanks to my job Travelplanet which sent me on it. Thank you!

Let the (naked) Zeus be with you!

I hope you liked my post :)
In couple of days I'm going to the place I really wanted to go for a long time so stay tuned cos there's gone be much more!

BUDAPEST

Hi there ;)

When I realized that I haven't been posting anything since my USA journey, after stepping in 2017 year its almost the end of March and its the very first time I don't have my future exactly planned I felt like I really need to get back to my blog.
I had some busy times, doing a lot of snowboarding traveling and once more snowboarding.
One of my favorites recent trips was to Budapest and I (or I'm sure WE) really loved it. Thinking of the closest European capitals I never thought I could fall in love with the Hungarian one!

So here's what I liked the most why I will definitely go back :

People (even though they do not really speak English) they are so friendly and so helpful and so cute.
The atmosphere in the city is so chilled. Budapest is very touristy but you don't feel it overhelmed.
Cities divided by the river are my favorite! The views <3
So many nice places to hang out and the oldest and the most famous ruin bars!
Amazing architecure!
Public transport is awesome but in general if you live in a good location you can get anywhere on foot!

Budapest before it became Budapest was three separate cities Buda, Óbuda and Pest.
Let's leave Óbuda cos I have no idea what happend there.

But...

Buda was older and stayed older so there you can find the old town, the Buda Castle, Gellert Hill and some super cool churches like St Matthias with the Fisherman's Bastion.

Gellert Hill:

 Budapest Team!

 Danube River and bridges <3

Fisherman's Bastion:

Matthias Church:

Pest is the newer and some says the richer part of the city, The place if full of crazy places to hang out with friends feeling the uniqe vibe of Budapest. Despite of some historical buildings, churches and squares in the Jewish district there are some cool vintage second hand stores and we literally couldn't leave them.

 Crossing the Chain Bridge:

 St Stephen's Basilica;

 Jewish district:

Parliament was so big!

Taking a ride in the oldest subway in Europe at the end of our journey was cherry on the top!

Hope you like the post and photos! :)

CALIFORNIA LOVE

Leaving Vegas wasn't easy but..
Wait! There was so many new places to visit!

Crossing the borders of Nevada and California was excited and because we love nature we went directly to the :

A big desert in South California were we can find the hottest place in United States, literally we almost died there, but later about it, now the road, so awesome

not the clearest car window but the views <3

Zabriskie point killed it!

Badwater basin is the lowest point in the United States and the temperature that day was around 50 degree Celsius. We decided to take a little walk. Like we weren't expected that hit of heat, couldn't come back, we were melting in the middle of that hell, barely alive..

and after all the typical evening in America

looking for a place to sleep

And we made it wild, such an amazing "just woke up" view

Next stop: Yosemite National Park

Sequoia goodbye :)

Oh, We're by the Pacific Ocean now!

Hello foggy San Francisco !

I could barely see the red color of Golden Gate Bridge :(

Alcatraz Prison

San Fran is full of hilly streets and it's crazy you can cheat the gravity

or ride a cable car and hang like nothing ever happened :D

Dolores Park was the cherry on top

This is one of my favorites pictures taken, even the rubbish won't ruin it

After 3 days in San Francisco, spent with amazing hospitable Brazilian people (thank you guys so much!) we were filled with positive emotions and hich-hiked down the California State Route 1 to the City of Angels.

We really though we can make it in one day but we've met two German guys traveling alone, just like us and we connected our trips getting the best scenes of the Pacific's coast. That was incredible.
So exciting, my eyes got little wet :)

Seals, seals and elephant seals.. just chilling

Malibu Beach was so stylish!

We're in LA!!! Santa Monica welcome :D In 3 days we made it!

Getty Center

And now Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to show you the most beautiful view ever:

Yup, went that high to see the sign!

The walk of fame here we come!

 Classic

What a meeting :O

Last days we spent in lovely San Diego hanging out on Balboa Park which was such a beautiful place.

Pinata party yay

Cold cold Pacific's Ocean.
